Pure Amazing Autumn Husky Safari

For hundreds of years dog sleds have moved people around in the Arctic. Hunters, seal hunters, fishermen and later also the post office, police and border guards used this in means of transportation, since it was reliable also in difficult circumstances. At this autumn escapade you get to experience being pulled by real Siberian Huskies on a summer carriage! Our route goes through pristine forests. I bet that after you have met our huskies you will not be surprised why they are one of the most loved animals of the north!

While we don’t have enough snow on the ground, our guide will be driving the summer carriage. When we get enough snow, then you get to drive the sled by yourself! In that case our guide will give you driving instructions before going!

Program duration: 2,5 hours

What is included: Thermal clothing if needed (overalls, shoes, gloves, hat, and wool socks), guidance and guide-driven husky ride (about 5 km depending on the weather).

Available: Daily at 9:30 and 13:00 (1.9. – 30.11., or until the snow arrives, early season starts also depend on the temperature that day)

Price: 189 € / adult and 149€ / child (4 to 12 years).

Transfer: 50€ / reservation

Duration including transfers: 3,5 hours

Once there is enough snow, we offer this safari with self-driven husky sleds. Minimum participant number 2 people, maximum 10. Please be ready about 10 minutes prior to your scheduled pick up time, thank you!

Pick-up points: Husky Park and Glass Resort around 9:00 and 12:30, Hostel Café Koti around 9:10 and 12:40.

Meeting point: Hotel Metsähirvas at 9:30 and 13:00.

Depending on the conditions, distance and driving-mode can be adjusted to prioritize the safety of both customers and dogs.

• We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 1 day or less before the event
• We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled 7 days or less before the event
