For hundreds of years dog sleds have moved people around in the Arctic. Hunters, seal hunters, fishermen and later also the post office, police and border guards used this means of transportation, since it was reliable also in difficult circumstances. At this joyful escapade you get to drive your own husky sled in the pristine forests. By the open fire, Finnish treats and stories about the charming huskies fill your day with laughter and joy. I bet that after you have met our huskies you will not be surprised why they are one of the most loved animals of the north!
Before the departure, our guide will give you instructions on how to control the sled. Are you ready to adventure? Pick up and drop off is included to this activity.

What is included: Thermal clothing (overalls, shoes, gloves, hat, and woolen socks), guidance in English/Finnish and self-driven husky safari (about 7-10 km).
Available: Daily at 9.30-12.00 and 13.00-15.30 (1.12.2022 – 31.3.2023, depending on the snow situation).
Price: 179 €/adult, 139 €/child (4-12 years). Solo driver + 70 € extra/adult.

Please note: In the season 2023-24 (starting 1.12.2023- ) the Pick up – Drop off is not included in the price. Minimum participant number 2 persons, maximum 10 persons. Please be ready about 10 minutes prior to your scheduled pick up time, thank you!
Pick-up points: Santa Claus Holiday Village, Husky Park and Glass Resort around 9:00 and 12:30, Hostel Café Koti around 9:10 and 12:40.
Meeting point: Hotel Metsähirvas at 9:30 and 13:00.
